If you want to maximize your enjoyment of the draft, don't get hung up on hoping for players and enjoy watching one of the best GMs in the league make your Green Bay Packers a better football team. One of the things that makes Gute such a good GM is the way he finds opportunities that are less than obvious. Moving back 4 spots, picking up 2 additional picks, and still getting your guy, may seem simple but it's how he finds players like Dontayvion Wicks and Karl Brooks. He could've taken Cooper at 41 and everyone would've celebrated it, and no one would've questioned why he didn't move back and pick up additional picks. Instead he still gets Cooper and gains 2 additional picks that he can trade or use. You could end the draft now with just these 5 picks and this team is better. After all the talk, film breakdowns, positional analysis, we are finally doing our own mock draft to see who might be around when the Packers are on the clock. What unexpected moves should Packers fans be prepared for? Gute is never fully predictable. Just when you think you are 100% certain that he wouldn't sign a free agent RB at the top of the market, he goes off and signs Josh Jacobs. When Gute says he would like to have 13 or 14 picks in this draft, I want to roll my eyes, but he just might do it. There hasn't been a GM better at drafting than Gutey over the past 2 -3 years. Going into his 15th season coaching, Marty Jenkins is currently coaching DBs at West DePere HS. The most debated position among Packers fans right now might be the Safety position. There isn't a consensus top Safety in the draft. Some of the early favorites tested poorly and their perceived draft stock suffered accordingly. So who is the top Safety prospect in this draft class for the Packers? Don't sleep on day-3 of the NFL Draft, especially at WR and CB. There will be impact players taken off the board on day-3, and Gute is one of the best in the league at finding impact players on day-3. To discuss it all and more, we're joined by Coach Justin Budiac.
